Product Review: St. Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion (Spray)

I received this product as a gift for Easter and I absolutely love it. I had never heard of it before and was surprised to see it was just what I wanted.

Here is a list of the things I like most about this product:

1. It’s thin

The thing I dislike most about applying lotion is the feel. The way it is so thick and makes me not want to touch anything. This, is different. Just like the bottle says, it is light! I don’t have to worry about not being able to open door knobs or getting fuzz stuck to my skin.

2. It’s convient

Another thing I dislike about lotion is that is takes so long to apply if your trying to put it on your whole body. It takes forever. When I apple lotion i think, ” I’m spending 17 minuets applying lotion. I’ve got work to do and what am I doing? Applying lotion. I could have done stuff in 17 minutes.” Because this lotion is so thin it takes little time to apply. Since it is spray, you can direct it anywhere (sorry for that thought that I just popped in your head. Anywhere) and it just goes on smooth and nice.

3. It smells good

I cannot even begin to tell you how good this smells. It’s a coconut smell and just so happens to go with my shampoo and conditioner (but that’s another rating.) Imagine this….. Your on a beach. You have no responsiblity at all. Life is a breeze. You have everything you need. Everything but, a smoothie. A smoothie then drops out of the sky, and it’s coconut flavor. That, is what this product smells like.

So those are the three best things I like about this product. If you want a lotion with those three things in it then you should go pick this product up. Maybe we can all conquer the world with our smooth and good smelling skin!

Bad Teachers And What You Can Do About Them

First I would like to say that not all teachers are bad. There are some great teachers out there. Teachers are human (most of them) and will make mistakes.

Teachers. They can help us, hurt us, or do both. They impact us and can determine major and minor desicions in our lives. That being said, wouldn’t you want a good teacher to impact you?

Some teachers are awful. They yell at their students, insult their students, don’t care, cant control their anger, are unfair, won’t reason with parents, and neglect their mistakes. We can all yell sometimes, insult others, not care, not control our anger, be unfair, will not reason, and neglect our mistakes, but when these actions are repeating on a daily basis it becomes you. Your actions make you.

One teacher I had yelled at us every day. She called us lazy, said we didn’t think, tried to teach us about “the real world”, threw her pencils, told us to shut up, said she wanted to throw things at us, made us look stupid, ect. The list goes on and on.

Some teachers are fantastic.  These are the best teachers ever. They are fun,  creative, funny, still have discipline, they have respect, they work with you and help you, and know how to teach. Yes! Who doesn’t want this teacher? They make learning fun. You actually look forward to going to their class! Not only do they know what their talking about, but they know how to get the message across.

These are the teacher who are going to inform our kids and educate the next generation that will lead our (your) country. Let that sink in for a moment. From the moment they were a little preschooler to the moment when they graduate college. The teacher is the one handing over information. We want teachers who will teach and encourage. We want teachers who will inspire. A lot of the teachers are awful people.

So how can we fix this? It will not be easy as change is never easy. If you are a parent you can ask your kids about the teacher(s), let them feel free to talk to you about a bad expirence with a teacher so they can see what they can do about it and recognize that you can take the peaceful approach, talk to the teachers or send an email if something bad happened (make sure you also talk with other parents about the teacher so you know if the teacher doesn’t like your child or is bad to all the students), if it gets out of hand talk to the principal about the teachers behavior. Students, it will be a little harder for you to do something but you always have a voice and it shouldn’t be hidden. Do NOT curse at the teacher becuase it can backfire. Think very wisely before you speak because it can be counted against you. Respectfully tell them that you don’t appreciate being called a name or yelled at, talk to your parents, talk to the principal (if you can plan ahead of time and make a list that way you won’t leave anything out), talk to your classmates and see if they have the same thought, every time the teacher does something unnecesairy write it down so when someone asks you what they ever did wrong you can list the things. They may be older than you but they are in no position to treat you like an animal for something you did not deserve. Just because they are an authority figure does not mean they are always right.

Education is important, so take a stand.

Tell me what you think in the comments. Have you had a really bad teacher or a really good teacher? What is your advice?
